PlayStation 3 Trophies are an achievement system on the PlayStation 3 game console.

Game developers have the option of including certain goals within their games, which when achieved will award the player a relevant trophy. Trophies can be bronze, silver, or gold; with gold contributing more experience to your next 'level' than silver, and silver giving more experience than bronze. A platinum trophy is awarded when a player achieves all of the trophies in a game. Smaller games won't have a platinum trophy.

Trophies are shown on a player's PS3 Network Profile, which also show a trophy level. Every trophy earned will go towards the percentage of the players' level, eventually levelling up to the next.

Rock Band 2 releases in September, which means it's time to start preparing. Warm up your voice, and get ready to start unlocking a new set of trophies. You can even snag the coveted Platinum Trophy. High scores and placement on the leaderboards is fine, but we all know that true bragging rights come with unlocking these bad boys.

FYI ... the drum trainer trophies are retroactive. That means that if you play at a high level it is possible to unlock more than one at a time playing either beats or fills.

The full list of trophies will appear in the game, but they aren't valued yet (Bronze, Silver or Gold). But it doesn't really matter if you're aiming for the Platinum, you'll be shooting for all of them anyway.

There are 56 trophies in the Warhawk v1.5 Update. (These also include trophies for the booster packs.)  Some of the trophies are hidden and some are retroactive based on your stats.

There is also an in'centive for new Warhawk players as well.  After completing each of the 3 core tutorials a trophy is unlocked.  Hardcore Warhawk players can also get those achievements, which is very easy-money.
